The Dinos invite you to play a role in the tradition of excellence - join the Adopt-A-Dino program by adopting a student-athlete. The Adopt-A-Dino program is more than a fundraiser, it is an opportunity for the community and corporate sector to support a specific team, while at the same time becoming involved with a student-athlete. The University of Calgary places a great deal of importance on the student-athletes' whole university experience. Your contribution will allow our student-athletes to focus solely on maintaining their academic and athletic success.
Adopt-A-Dino Program
$500.00 (per student-athlete)
In appreciation of your support, each Adopt-A-Dino contributor will receive the following:
A mounted photo of your student-athlete in action.
The opportunity to personally meet your student-athlete at a luncheon.
Recognition in the Dinos ROAR program (if received by print deadline).
Tax Receipt for the eligible portion of your gift.
Foundations for the Future was founded in response to the continual rise in cost of post-secondary education across the country. Dinos Athletics is dedicated to attracting top student-athletes to its program. In an increasingly competitive world of university recruitment, the University of Calgary often loses exceptional student-athletes due to stronger scholarship offers from other universities.
The average tuition at the University of Calgary is now $4,400 a year and when you add in living expenses and living expenses the cost of university easily tops $12,000 for two semesters. The average student-athlete does not have the time to work during the school year as they are extremely busy balancing classes, home work, training and competing, which leaves little or no time to work.
You can help us put the foundations in place so that our student-athletes are rewarded for their athletic and academic success. Our goal is for every eligible student-athlete to have a scholarship to cover his or her tuition.
A $1,000.00 Donation to the Scholarship Fund of the team of your choice will be recognized with:
Authentic team apparel or a mounted photo of the team
Reception after the scholarship has been awarded to meet the student-athletes
Recognition in print and web
Recognition on a donor scroll in the Athletics Trophy Case

The University of Calgary Dinos have a long and storied tradition of excellence and achievement in sport, the classroom, and community. Whether it's the prestigious Rhodes Academic Scholarship, Olympic medals, or participating in the Calgary school children mentoring program, Dinos student-athletes have done it all.
